Aerial Roots…. Poem by MBJ Pancras

Aerial Roots….

Where art thou both now? Must be beyond the sky!
Unreachable! Beyond the material sojourn Thou both art!
Thou both hast no blood to speak unto us,
For no blood relationship is found in the dictionary of spirits.
Ethereal world is the of souls in eternity,
And each of thee is a citizen of the unseen world.
Words of the mortal world cannot reach thee,
And the language of the ghostly language cannot reach us.
Yet, here's a poem unto thee of our family on earth.

Thou wert born away from each other and grew for thy nuptial knot,
But thy pair had been a string of slivers to bruise each other.
Yet thou hast shed aerial roots of seven to be alive.
We were shown paths of obscurity and glooms,
Yet, here are we not to defame thee both.
Thou both fed us seven to survive to grow in years:
Thou both performed thy roles singly apart,
Indeed we grew in years with thy food fed,
We felt but the shadow of thy love for us,
Thou had loved us but grey clouds passed along with.

We played fun on one another in our by-gone days,
And chastisements were laid upon our fun:
Ice-creams turned candies; cool drinks turned water,
Yet, in years we grew holding invisible stems.
Thou had ne'er thought of strengthening the root,
There had been no water for survival of the root;
But had been occasional rains showered from Above.
Weeds had crept unnoticed; wolves snared thee both,
And we'd been mere lambs muted ‘gainst growls.
Thou both had ne'er seen the light of the sun,
And so the trunk of the family had been eaten up.

Now we are thy aerial roots away from the trunk,
And the trunk is no more to bind us together,
The seven in remote corners forgotten the bond,
Each one prowling upon each other sealed with hatred,
Gripped with paradoxical plots and creepy lies,
Rolling through friction with bruises wounds,
Having carried rocks on our chests callous to one another,
What we carry with us is nothing and the grave is at hand.
We are the seven aerial roots far from one another.
We've have been shrouded with self-righteousness seeking vanity.
We shall seek Truth and we're to seek Truth
And life on earth is one and once to seek Eternity.
