Allow me to close the chapter before it ends.
It's been a long walk through streets of gold,
Through glittering highways so appealing to the eye.
I see this beauty beckon,
That too I reckon.
My mind is blown am baffled.
.
Will I walk alone in these streets that never die?
Will anybody hear me if alone I cry?
Why will I walk alone in this land of the beautiful,
When sands of diamond form trails to hearts never before inhabited?
.
As I walk past stained windows behind which queens sing lullabys to their princesses,
Yes, the royal angels groomed to scare away the boys who can't just see with their inquisitive eyes.
Am I any better than the rest,
Who walked down this road into the nest?
Can I stand the spell of love drifting through the air above?
Stop me in my tracks before I end up like the rest
Allow me to close this chapter
before I fall in Love
