"Afrika" Poem by EUNICE MOTLOHI

"Afrika"

Rating: 5.0

The mist of green pastures has yet turned yellow for,
the rainbow nation no longer holds peace and prosperity

for it is clouded with no love but, with hatred, anger and contempt
a smile is taken away from the unborn for I pity the Innocent that no nothing about our Afrika

"afrika" my beloved, my hope my true definition of kindness
where have you gone to? for you have left me weary of your affections and attention for the need in me to be near you is too much for me handle.

for i search for lies or deceivers i only pledge for true kindness and love that once made afrika my friend, not my enemy to my dreams and desires, i lack no passion for i fight for justice and privileges for everyone in Afrika.
kom terug my Afrika, kom terug my Afrika

assemblief, assemblief Afrika!
