After The Rain Poem by Sajoy Paul

After The Rain

Today the whole afternoon
What was rainy,
Now, I ditch the sky
That's fair.

Scattered to and fro
The silky clouds,
By the late afternoon sun,
laugh at it.

Palm leaves, date leaves
The water's edge,
Cursed on the accumulation of rain
Pearls shaken.

When the fighting stops
Pigeons crowd,
Sparrow is flying
Surrounded by fig leaves.

Emerging river dance,
Slow going in the evening,
Lost fork in the river
Is the rain.
