After The Storm Poem by James W. Spain

After The Storm

After the storm
a calmness returns,

the roaring sea settles
back into idyllic rhythm while

the birds again sing
and worship the sun.

People are back
unafraid to leave their shelters.

After the storm
a calmness returns,

the long lines pre-storm
have left the supermarkets and

the tension now
blends into carefree days.

There is no worry for
with routine there is only peace and security.
