Aftermath Poem by Paul Barratt

Aftermath

Yesterday I heard you say
That you didn't really care
And I wanted to run away
But all I could do is stare

Yesterday I couldn't believe my eyes
Your face was like i've never seen
You looked so happy with that other guy
I was going to be so mean

Yesterday is all but gone
The memories are not kind
Where did i go so wrong
That, I may never find

Tomorrow will come
And life still goes on
Still looking at having fun
When the problems have all gone
