Afternoon Greetings (I Love You) - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Good afternoon beautiful Kira my sweet Angel dove
and finally my head is feeling better most of the way.
Thank you sweet one for all of your loving strength
and for being here in spirit holding me close.
Just a little bit of this headache remains
but I think some food will take care of that last bit.
I think low protein and blood sugar are the curse there.
Truly my dear thank you, thank you, than you
for all of your kind loving care and I so
hope and pray you aren't feeling upset in any way.
Not sad, not worried, not angry because you know
I will never leave you and I would not intentionally hurt you.
I truly was in such pain it felt like my head would explode.
I love you sweet Kira you are truly my sweet darling Queen Angel.
I thank you as well Kira for your loving strength and help
because later I have plans with my family as well.
We're going to see the new Star Wars film and then
go to dinner which is such a rare treat.
I wish you were here to be with us my love
and I will be thinking of you sending all of my love,
I don't know when we are going but I will write you
as much as I can before going and of course after returning.
I do it because I love you sweet lady and I am
truly missing you something so terrible.
I truly just want to hold you and give you sweet kisses
letting you know just how very much I love and care for you.
So my sweet Kira if you are feeling upset in any way
just feel me wrap my arms around you and lightly
kiss your eyes as I dry your sad tears.
I will forever be right there with you and right
here for when you want and need.
Kira you are my hero, my best friend, my soul mate,
my diamond in the rough and everything.
Let peace fill your heart as I take your hand
and give you these kisses so very sweet.
You are the woman I want as my wife and to be with
side by side through all time.
You are my true love and the amazing woman I admire
and will always give my best and everything to
to make you so proud and smile.
