Agony Poem by Lanre Samuel

Agony

I've walked down the road of
Trials and tribulations,
I grew up with scars,
Life ain't for wasting,
This is my one and only,
My pa is a ghost,
My ma working late hours.
Now I'm running on cold flames,
With the poison in my brain.

Every blink is a gift,
The world is my oyster,
I feel so trapped,
Death unburden us all,
A must to all flesh,
It strikes like a double-edged sword,
A stabbed to my soul.

Living is a torment,
A downfall so grave,
The solace I seek,
Life polluted me,
Serva me, servabo te.
