Air Burns Poem by Javalene Braden

Air Burns

No matter how cold it is
The air still seems to burn
The air i breathe in
The stuff that allows me to live
It hurts but i keep breathing it
Fireballs down my throat
Fire i cant control and flames that spew forever
Flames that burn and burn and never heal
The burns that stay haunting the surface and deeper
Going deeper everyday and nothing can stop it
The burning air keeps me alive but is always hurting me
Hurting me so far i can't go back
Hurting me so hard the skin won't grow back
Keeping me so far i can't catch a break
The wind feels good but it burns cause its air
Everything hurts because air is everywhere
So far everywhere that everyone burns
Inside and out we all burn
Some for the same and some not
But those burns those terrible fireball air flames burn
Everyone everything burns
