Alcoholic Pseudo Seduction Poem by rhiannon fisher

Alcoholic Pseudo Seduction

fools drooling over a partially enlightened mind; wanting that which will never be taken nor subdued. they want to tame the wild, but in doing so they lose the beauty they fell in love with; leaving nature sulking in hesitance, but merely for a moment prior to unloading vines, weeds, hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes, mudslides, avalanches, drought, disease, starvation.

an enigma; a schizophrenic playground for your eyes’ delight. a surreal memory etched on swingsets, and as the wind catches you see its silhouette sliding back and forth with the rising and settling breeze.

easily loved; easily unloveable. stretching hearts in chorus with the changing seasons.

an eloquent delirium.

alcoholic pseudo-seduction. disgust for years pertaining to the same instance repeated. against the grain, you remain idle. dissintegration of previous laughter. i’ve never lost faith; is it time to relinquish the 'never'?

i understand my worth; whereas, you have not even the slightest clue.

10 years of lacking heroism, but i am not your f-ing savior. i am not the reason for your goddamned existence; your suicidal thoughts; your lack of drug intake; your lack of life and love; nor am i the reason for the smile on your face, for your own muscles formed it’s structure.

i am not your reason, your hope, your true love, your anti-venom.

i am...

your

delusional

sister;

your

best

and

worst

friend.

i’ve reflected sunlight in your eyes, only to receive the darkest of personal reflections due to alcohol insulation; the stink of which demons would even hesitate to embrace

27 comes too quickly; and i cannot control fate.

stand up, goddamnit! stand up without the swagger; without the swaying indecency of a bar fly! igniting flames in the upper airwaves; you do realize that gravity exists?

my last words of encouragement; my last words of desperation on your behalf.

i cannot save you.
i cannot save you.
i cannot save you.
i cannot save you.
i cannot save you.

you must save yourself.

petals preserve this statement...
