Al-Hayyul-Qayyum by: Abdul Wahab Poem by Abdul Wahab (Bangladeshi)

Al-Hayyul-Qayyum by: Abdul Wahab

O Al-Hayyu, O Al-Qayyum--
You are my Lord,
All praise belongs to You alone,
You are my all.

There is no god but You,
No ilah besides my Lord,
Without Your mercy, my Lord,
I have no way, no cord.

For all of life's affairs,
I ask only from Your door,
Even before I think to ask,
You grant me even more.

Just thinking of Your Name, my Lord,
Makes my head bow down,
While walking on the straight path,
I fear You and Your frown.
