All Alone Poem by paul english

All Alone

Living alone in a house so clod,
Going to bed with no one to hold,
Lying awake with the fear of tomorrow,
Your heart aches deep inside with sorrow.

What happened to the life I had,
I used to be a husband and dad,
Now all has gone nowhere to be seen,
I question myself was it just a dream.

Then I search deep within,
I find my sole is filled with sin,
It all my fault, myself to blame,
And now my life is full of shame.

My family decided it was time to go,
I begged and pleaded NO NO NO,
I was on my knees crying in shame,
My heart was broken, so much pain.

So now I lay awake at night,
While all the worlds asleep,
And take a trip down memory lane,
With tears upon my cheek.

So never take for granted,
The things that rule the heart,
Because one day you never know,
It could be torn apart.

But just remember, memories are wonderful things,
They last from day to day,
They cant get lost, they cant ware out,
They cant be taken away.
