All For Who? Poem by Femi Ademiluyi

All For Who?

Walked for days and worked for nights
All for you and none for me
fought with kings, princes and knights
year to year, eve to eve
All for you, All for you.

Walked through hell and hell again,
Stepped on thorns
and toiled in vain
Broken bones and scattered horns
My pride deserts, All for you.

Now am sick,
In a mansion of loss,
life so black, yea so slick
deviant and unsurprisingly gross,
yet i smiled, All for you.

Clothed in rags
and bathed in blood
ridiculed hard like 'just for gags
shivering knees quivered as i stood,
Beaten to death, All for you.

Memories hurt, Visions lost,
bubbles burst and victory spilled
Holes bored and future drilled,
to my heart an empty host,
All for you, Yes for you.

What for me? ? , if i may ask,
My world you've packed,
and put in sacks,
let me know before the sun sets
Left or Right
Whats my bet? ? .
