All Of You: Sequestered Waltz Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

All Of You: Sequestered Waltz

The scandalous snickering
Of the trees,
The lambasting rain
Over the rooftops
That dwell in the flames
Of insurgencies
Remain persnickety
Like love
And other things.

Your lips are dank,
As your bones fracture
Inside your gleaming skin
Of white:
Unharmed,
Caressed by the wind
How lucky the wind is,
I thought
In this slim chance of
Living.

Let the flames
Begin
Ignite and
Torch these pillars -
The kerosene of
My eyes,
And the swarming heat
In plethoras
In chasms
In hollow eyes like
Two, distant
Yet conspiring planets

Are one.
And so all of you
Has tolled,
And all of me,
Acquiesces.
