I almost found you
I'm sure it's true
I can hear your laugh,
As it floats to me on the wind.
And I feel sorrow as I realize you were almost here
You've passed me
and I don't know what to say!
My heart achs for you
And I fear my soul may be breaking without you
I wish I could hurry, to meet you
But I must stay in this dismall place and wait for you
I don't know how long I can last
It's as if I'm drowning
but I'll stay strong if only to see you from afar
It'll be enough and I will be able to fly away if only for a moment.
On the same wind that breaks my heart
By giving me that small, little glimpse of you
So I almost found you
But not quit yet.
And still that almost gives me a small hope.
