Alone Poem by Samantha Schenk

Alone

I walk down the hall with people all around me.
I look at nothing for there is nothing to see.

No one says hello to me because no one really cares.
They don't know, don't see, that inside me are nightmares.

These ghosts inside, they speak, they tell of ages past.
When people who were meek, were not treated with aghast,

Don't they see it's all an act, the one i pretend to be?
The real one is packed away for only me.

Don't let them see what they do to me.
Please grant me invisibility, please let me be.
