Many are around but you are alone
You’re surrounded by faces yet you see none
They ask how you are. “I’m fine.” You reply
They don’t even notice that it is a lie

They continue their lives as they often do
Not even pondering what’s happening to you
You silently fall completely apart
Forsaken to deal with your bleeding heart

When finally they gone you’re alone with your thoughts
You wish you could tell them but an option, that’s not
You think of the people, unaware as they are
To those all around them all covered in scars
