Alone Poem by Rebecca Hall

Alone

The windows darkened
Door blocked
Telephone cord pulled
Television blackened
Stereo silenced
Sitting cross-legged
Arms held to my ears
Screaming
Windows shake
Walls quake
A knife
Held in my left
A rope held
In my right
Pills spilled
On the counter
Cant sleep
Cant eat
The blood
Upon my hands
Wont go away
Skin raw
And bleeding
Lock me away
And throw away the key
Watch me
Like a hawk
Make me alright
