Alone At Night Poem by Purven Shah

Alone At Night

I laugh, I smile, I shine so bright,
Yet loneliness haunts me every night.
Sunday arrives, but feels so cold,
While families gather, memories unfold.

The city glows with joy and cheer,
Restaurants filled, the movies near,
And I just sit and wonder why,
Does solitude make my soul cry?

I've done so well, I've come so far,
Yet emptiness leaves a lasting scar.
For whom should I stay strong today?
For whom should I face the world this way?

The silence whispers, the heart it aches,
How much of this can one soul take?
Will dawn bring peace, or just disguise?
Will I forever search for warm sunrise?
