Along With It Poem by Angela R. M. Ferrer

Along With It

Please don't say goodbye
My stranded butterfly
Tell me where you've been
I know you have a story to tell

In and out of it
Have you felt it?
I give away too much
maybe that's why
they don't stay for long

Please don't say goodbye
My stranded butterfly
my skin can taste so good
if only you would try
but no
you're off to somewhere else

Blinded,
by your magic dust
And I don't even care
As long as you're flying over head
I can feel you near me

Until the day
that you realize
That I was there
and that you needed me
I'll sing here on my own saying,

Goodbye.

Goodbye,
Stranded butterfly
Goodbye,
pretty butterfly
playing so carelessly
flying with the wind
