Already Gone Poem by shanna lagor

As the tears of shame burn down my cheeks
I realize it doesn't matter
and I realize I know why
with great sadness I find
I have had the answer all the time
the bond is broken
how sad I am to know this
I know we are each walking away
from the other
its just a matter of time
with great sadness I have to admit
I knew this already
we are saying good bye
slowly we are pulling away
soon to part deep sorrow
in my heart I know I have lost
a friend that I thought
I would have forever
my heart is broken to know
what once used to be can no longer
live in this space and time
remember my friend I will always love you
ever after we part ways
I could beg you not to go but
you have already left
I could say I would stay but
I am already gone
