Alternate Existance Poem by Fantasia Witiker

Alternate Existance

There once was a day,
When I would go out to play.

There was once a time,
When I would do anything for a dime.

There was once a beautiful town,
Now it is run down.

I once considered that town home.
Now it seems as if I should roam.

Life had declined and inclined again.
It will continue to change, from the beginning to the end.

There will be good times and bad times and more good to see.
Please remember life isn't always as bad as it seems.

Some people have it easy, others have it hard.
Please remember everyone is marred.

Whether it be inside or out,
Everyone goes through personal drought.

So it is okay,
To be in dismay.

Everyone has been there at one point or another.
Please remember there is always some other.

You are not in this alone.
There is no need to act like a clone.

Everyone goes through change,
And often it is a good way to rearrange,
So the present isn't the same as yesterday.
