Always
By Tilly Rivers

Always
Now there is a word
Perhaps it is not a measure of time
Mayhap a measure of the heart
Verses a length of time

Always
Could only be for one moment
One night, one kiss
One single spark of magic
Yet it is carved in who you are

Always
A flash. Here. Gone
Never to depart from your soul
Even if it is never repeated
Maybe you do not need a hundred years

Always
Maybe you do not need a thousand days
Upon a thousand seconds
Maybe you only need
One single moment

Always
One
A night
A moment
A flash

Lasting always
Within the keepsake of your soul
