Always There Poem by Tarun Cherian

Always There

They are there
even though they are gone.

They can visit
though this is no longer their home.

You are in their arms
even though many no longer have bodies.

Remembering you, I walk in the deepening night.
Starlight touches me,
though according to scientists,
many of the stars are ashes and dark hole.
