Amazing Grace Poem by Robert Lawrence Coskrey

Amazing Grace

Rating: 4.5

It called me from darkness.
Looking beyond the outside,
Past my skin color,
My faults.
And, my lame excuses.
After all of this,
Still it found me.

Even now when I've forgotten faith.
Strayed far away from the path.
Down the road to death,
wagging my tongue,
Shaking my fist.
After all of this,
It never left me.

What lesson have I learned?
God was watching me in love.
Allowed me to live in sin.
Rebellion.
Experience judgment.
After all I did,
Amazing Grace found me.
