Ambiguity Poem by cahen thrips

Ambiguity

if envy is a vice am I then wrong
to envy the virtue in you?
when I say I can't tolerate intolerance
am I being a bigot too?

who created our creator?
how long did time not exist?
will philosophers ever see
the wisdom of the sophist?

one moment I am nowhere
although I am now here
nothing really matters
nothing instils fear

my heart is full of emptiness
my life is lived with death
they say you'll live forever
after drawing your final breath

but I will not believe them
even though the wager's lost
for truth's at best subjective
as I've discovered to my cost

if envy is to be a sin
then sin it must ever be
or my world will sink beneath
the seas of ambiguity.
