Ambulance Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Ambulance

bracing the joy
but more on braces
scraping, gnawing
at unready apples

standing on shoulders
are cries and laughs
she doesn’t mind;
they twist her, she moves

swimming around rocks
let out the calendar
sadness is your cannibal
I’m your ambulance
