Americentricism Poem by Patrick Nandwa

Americentricism

You have made yourself the world police
To safe guard your Americentric policies
You care nothing about other nations
But instead hold silly notions
That all are against you
If they are not with you
You are quick to begrudge
Before you even sit back to judge
It started with Vietnam
And you’ve never stopped to kill and to destroy
You are terror the worst kind of a terrorist
You bring to many nations anarchy
In your search of perceived enemies
Do you want to establish a monarchy?

You bombarded Afghanistan in search of Bin Laden
And left a devastated impoverished country
And all sorts of burdens
Stinking with the smell of corpses
Killed by your bombs and left out in the open
You just destroy
When will you ever construct?

The other day you attacked Iraq
And claimed it harboured
Weapons of mass destruction
You bombarded a whole nation into ruins
And killed innocent children, women and men
With so harmless weapons
As cutlery on their dinner tables
We ask to be shown the mass destruction weapons
But you are full of hocus pocus
And talk of setting up
A Yankee controlled government
Even the blind see through you hanky panky
For all you are interested in is oil
But we have nothing to do but recoil
For we fear of being the next target
