In a world where values wane,
Goodness falters, virtues strain.
Society adrift, rudderless ship,
Corruption thrives, dark shadows grip.
Might usurps what's truly right,
Wealth declares its false birthright.
Business cloaked in cheating's guise,
Honesty drowned in deceitful ties.
People living just to feed,
A cycle bound by endless need.
Adultery, an unchecked tide,
Morals crumble, swept aside.
Impious souls, preaching high,
Religion tainted, draped in lie.
The aged abandoned, left to fate,
Trivial fights, a bitter debate.
Yet in this darkness, a glimmer might,
A chance for change, a hopeful light.
For values once downgraded, can ascend,
Good qualities reborn, wounds mend.
