An Absurd Eclipse Poem by Vadakkumpurath Ramesan

An Absurd Eclipse

Rating: 5.0

When the four walls around the earth,
Glee in the twilight,
When the dawn at the east rises,
From its golden slumber,
When the mountain tops mould the days in its oven,
When the rivulet rushes to the ocean
With reverberating sounds of her ringing rings;
Hark!
The eternal Divinity sprays rose-red,
On the cheeks of the Nature,
The Nature with her celestial mien
And with her charming shyness,
Keeps the sparkling stars in her deep blue eyes,
Provoking in the depth of the hearts!
When amazed by the serene top,
Massive with bright diamonds of the black blanket atop,
Hark!
When the Nature lay with vaulting ambition,
The Sound springs up from an unknown whirl,
It comes and becomes dense and thick to ears,
It takes the grim face of a storm;
It assumes the smashy hands of a tempest
Whose temper is lost;
See gone are the red cheeks,
Dim are the blue-bright eyes of the eternity
See shaky are the clouds,
As wanton flies which lost the tie at the pivot
See the beauty is gone,
Yet the absurdity started to reign and rain!
