An Acronym Poem by L'Angley S Delmonte

An Acronym

The sun sinks late
I hear
The cars and the buses and the bikes
And the submarines
And the unnamed things
Swimming through mirages in the warm street
Making soft underwater noises
We feel them somewhere in our stomachs, in a silently sinking sensation
like the deep ocean,
when everything is just...
Slightly too dark?
The light breathed in by
the eternal sun
Is just suspended there and
You can't really see
The trees, tranquilised,
are painted in soft glowing
shades of
Orange
I feel like I'm walking on water,
Slowly losing my touch,
and my toes dipping into the deep
with each step.
I feel...them...pulling along
in the air and hovering around and trying to
touch
Feels like summer
It's not its a
Less saturated deep
