An Atheist Till The Day He Die Poem by Francis Duggan

An Atheist Till The Day He Die

He only believes in human mortality
And with the theory of life after death he does not agree
He is one of those the non believing kind
And on life after death he has made up his mind
He believes that Religion and God are based on a lie
And he will be an atheist till the day that he die
Yet the tag of good person to him ought to apply
Since he is one who would not harm a fly
Due to his anti cruelty to animals beliefs he does not have meat
Mostly fruit, grain and vegetables he likes to eat
His wife and their primary school going son and daughter are in church on sunday
Where with their religious community to their God they do pray
And since on Religion and God he believes differently
He sits at home watching sport on t v.
