An Empyrean Plot Poem by Kumaara Sukeja

An Empyrean Plot

AN EMPYREAN PLOT?
'They' had promised no grown-ups for company- - for keeps.
But grown-ups patiently snitch dreams as he seraphically sleeps
Alongside his percipient pal who simply refuses to grow up,
Essaying, enigmatically, the ebullient conduct of an adoring pup!

The heavens'-sent escort was also a determined dude- -
Having plotted the path to implement his mandate- -
fetching, en-route, to the infantile mind a fairy- land interlude,
And, engineer, eventually, the cherub's embrace by the awaiting fate.

Now 'those' who stow away his day-dreams intact
Are primed-and-ready participants- as a matter of fact:
Anointed 'parents' in this temporal world's temperate scheme- -
Teach by treating a wooden toy as his peer: the time-tested theme...

Wherefore, to dissipate smoothly, his sense of any unbearable loss,
As he awakens, of cozy memories now however much distant!
Of blithe innocence- -thence, to forget here, whatever, earlier, he was...
His customary cry, hence, is a sign of all well-done and and meant!

Every back-packed dream, clinically, packed back and 'shipped' ABOVE-
To be re-packaged for the next 'Bundle' of ' JOY and LOVE '...
Meanwhile, the sagacious 'puppy-doggy', discreetly, philosophizes,
Reviewing, stoically, human stereo-types of varying shapes and sizes...
