Segmented: Poem by Kumaara Sukeja

Segmented:

SEGMENTED:
For the socially-segmented snobs

who revel in MOCKERY and SPITE,
The word, ATONEMENT, understandably, gives them, always, a FRIGHT-

For, they are the avowed torch- bearers of the cult of evil-
in DEEDS and in SPIRIT;
not aware that they are a bunch of
Condemned Souls,
unable to look within where
a hand of God proffers unsolicited help, to arrest
their own inevitable descent into the hell-hole
on the world of Sin's outer LIMIT.

While they wallow on one end of a stream,
in areas of Darkness,
Imperceptibly fated to be submerged
in swirling whirlpools of Nemesis,
The Weak and the Meek they, subjectively, revile,
await at the other end
in a calm, secluded stillness, steered
by friendly voices of Hope- -
The arrival of the dawn of an ever-lasting LIGHT...
