An Eternal Love Story Poem by Alok Bhatt

An Eternal Love Story

A swift river was flowing continuously,
With her own mood carelessly,
Making a purling sound everywhere,
Not listening to any one,

Going with her own fashion,
Crossing many cities, many regions,
Sometimes like a marching Army,
Sometimes like a calm sky,

There was a rock near the bank,
Rough, hard solid and arrogant,
Ready to break anyone in his way,
Over the years, as the river passed by,
He was now soft, polite, and meek,
Mind of rock was now changed,
Was trying to say something to river,
Although river was still in hurry,
Without any tension or worry,

He said to river ”can we be one? ”,
River was astonished, stunned,
River said, ”I can’t stop ”,
“I love you dear but my destiny is somewhere else”;
“I will die if I stop, my nature is running”
“Rest is not in my fate”,
And she didn’t stop,
Besides their eternal and pious bonding,
Kissing the rock, she continuing her journey,
The endless journey,
To meet the mighty ocean,
Which was her ultimate abode,

Over the ages, this amorous saga continues,
Eventually their love was incomplete,
Though, is the purest form of love….
Created by our mother nature.......
