An Ideal Visage Poem by renante catingub

An Ideal Visage

Rating: 0.5

Several people actually rely just on what they see,
They believe on the beauty shown by some for free.
Believing only for what the sight foretold to glee,
keeping in mind the shallow thought as scrutiny ‘bout thee.

Why is it a nature for man to lazily look just through?
Sensing fulfillment only on what the eyes could offer to.
Letting them hind from all bare beauty,
Keeping the soul believe that nothing in there is ugly.

What we want is not always what we get,
And what we can get could somehow bring us awful regret.
So better not want something you don’t need,
Coz you don’t always need wants for yourself to feed.

A person might live in simplicity,
But what’s best is living it with veracity.
A heart that unconditionally loves an entity,
is the mere fact we need to have definitely.

With eyes eager to look beyond what’s found,
a heart that’s ready for something to bound,
a mind that opens for possibilities around
and a just soul are all we need to stand firm on the ground.

Love is never measured by just the quality of smiles,
but by the act of acceptance a heart willing to travel for miles.
Neither by looks nor the coiffure as styles,
A real love will always look beyond their fallacy of beguiles.

No matter what the standing is,
the imperfections you found unease
and the greatest things you can’t hardly please,
don’t let mundane visages bother your love to cease.

A face is just a mask that covers the reality,
That if you tolerate will leash only so much of falsity,
and if you continue will let you detain in life’s inequity.
This we remember that the ideal visage relies not for flesh’s quality.
But by the abstract things life signifies deep for love and humanity.
