An Insult Of Any Kind Poem by Arielle Perkins

An Insult Of Any Kind

Your words are cruel, harsh and full of pain
Some may like you at first but fear it what YOU make them gain.
You hold yourself so high and proudly say things that cause grief
To get away from you, causes many a relief.
You feel unloved, not needed and like you don’t want to live
You need to learn to love others, cherish and to them nice things give.
I love you, in a very different kind of way
The way a friend loves another and is not afraid to say
Not afraid to say you hurt me or you did something wrong
Not afraid to laugh at stupid things and make you feel strong.
You do not have to be afraid to face this world alone
For in this place many friends you do own
You may not see it or maybe you want to be blind
But I know deep inside you are truly kind
I see the good in you and I know you can be better
Try telling someone else I love you or write a funny letter.
Please don’t take what I say as an insult of any kind
I just want you to know I love you and you should change your mind.
