An Israeli Kid Poem by Showkat Ahmad Wani

An Israeli Kid

How long shall I detest the race of man?
I know not where the heights of heaven lie,
Yet through the halls of Pharaoh still I roam.
The might of my own gaze consumes my soul.
Now all the world beholds my foolish craft,
As Iblis fell, so am I cast in shame,
And stained with blood, my tale of time endures
