An Ode To The Love Of 'My Love' Poem by Asad Ali

An Ode To The Love Of 'My Love'

Rating: 5.0

It all started with the first sight. I opened my eyes in a hazy primordial soup where millions of figurines were floating silently…………shimmering with the dreams, vowing to unchain the mercurial ballerina of reality.

I gazed at the sky through the veil of golden stream, through the mist of mysterious night. I stared at the mighty ocean till it jumped into an arid desert for hundreds of thousands of years and returned with a mischievous smile chanting "See how long I can hold my breath? "

I was mesmerized by the fragrance of lavender stretched across horizon till the very same land was transformed into trenches and trenches filled with blood and bones of innocents and guilty alike.

I watched a girl from cradle to grave, from dust to wind and right through the heart of a land where echoes dwell……….and my love never even blinked once throughout the spectacle of thrashing away in the tumultuous ocean of time.

I pursued knowledge till the edges of the universe and when a ferocious beyond was threatening to eat away my entire being and the core reason of my existence, I never thought even for a moment and kept moving.

I love "My Love" that was not for a sun or an ocean or a fragrance or a girl or even the pursuit of knowledge itself but it was to the One that shines in every face, through every manifestation, across the darkest of alleys and right in the middle of exploding stars.
