An Unknown Love Poem by Michelle Brummell

An Unknown Love

Rating: 5.0

AN UNKNOWN LOVE
Love is learnt not by what we know
But by who we meet
The connections we make
Enable us to grow, succeed, and defeat
Unity and friendship,
Both family and bond
Strength and trust in what lies beyond
To find these small blessings
Like heaven, here on earth
A taste of happiness exceeding the thoughts we once girthed
Perhaps it is angels who know not they have wings Gentle in their word, wise like kings
Their paths are lit to you
Alone as you once felt
Now surrounded by love
A hearts coldness it could melt
Bringing forth ones desire,
Wants and needs
The heart dances like fire
The souls balance it feeds
Fate has shown your loved darling
The hurt in this world cannot break you
For the definition of who you are
Is not by what others make you
No longer controlled by past, thoughts and fear
You bring joy and laughter to those you hold near
Youve made your friends, your family, your home
It is indeed a love fulfilled, Previously unknown
For love is learnt not by what we know but by who we meet. Granted the pleasure of a life that's complete.
