Ancient Pines Poem by mark 4982

Ancient Pines

Rating: 0.5

I went for a walk one day with my friend
among ancient Pine, Oak and Dogwood trees.
We stopped near a lake to watch the sun set.
Changing colors reflected in the water below.
And the lake, sun and clouds were revealed through leaves and trees.
There, a millipede danced gracefully for us on the forest floor.
I longed to stay all night.
I could have stayed there forever.

We continued on in mysterious fading light
and at the end, a long warm hug in the dark forest.
Melting into each others embrace.
