And I hover
between death
and life.
No longer knowing on which side
of the thin veil
I stand-
I belong.
And places from times
gone by.
Stretch out before me
in my dreams.
The only place
I now ever see them.
But to see is not
to be.
And my heart yearns
and my soul cries
for those places
I long to be.
So comforting
yet so frightening
as they lock me out.
The places that once held me in there
sanctity.
and I know no matter how
close i try to get
I am always further away.
And I see,
and I feel.
But these place are
now
locked to me.
Just a dream
that is never
realised.
