And It Begins... Poem by Forever Underestimated

And It Begins...

I remember walking in,
Late as usual.
Everyone looked up,
But for some reason,
You're the only one I noticed.
I remember your face;
Your expression.
Your mouth was open.
Your eyes were scared.
But I had no idea
How scared they really were.
I thought it was normal.
I mean, you were the new kid.
Of course you were nervous.
But it went so much deeper.
Your blue eyes:
They captured me.
Took me to another world
Just for a moment,
And I could see you;
In an instant,
I knew who you were.
I knew who you wanted to be.
I remember that moment perfectly.
But now,
Those blue eyes
Have turned grey,
And I've realized
I can't capture you in a moment.
Four months.
I've never even talked to you,
But I know you better than anyone.
So don't give up.
I'm here.
