And Nature Said To Me Poem by Mark Hopwood

And Nature Said To Me

I said its sad to see you going that way
Same old place trapped inside the same old day
She said don't worry about me, I'm OK as I am
Wading through the world and doing all that I can
Then the skies lit up and the rain poured down
And the sun broke through the clouds with a thunderous sound.

I said It's good to see you heading there
One heart, One soul, One world to share
She said come with me and walk for a while
She told me the secrets and learned me the style
And the sky still lights up and the rain still pours down
The sun still breaks through the clouds with its thunderous sound
And the world, she still spins and brings in the new
The birth of the day and the glistening morning dew.

She said be true to yourself and search for all truth
Trust in your instincts cos sometimes there will be no proof
You must believe or it can never be real
Keep tight hold because they will try to steal
And don't look back or they'll take your soul
Look ahead, through the minds eye, thats control.
