And So Am I To You Poem by RIC BASTASA

And So Am I To You

drought is here
river beds are drying
plants are wilting
trees are shedding off all leaves
they all look like
skeletons and skulls

there are dusts everywhere
roaming clinging leaving
blown by the strong winds
from the desert

please make the rain
bursting
water the earth
cracking
fill in the gaps
and the holes

shower this thirst
fill this hunger
give back life....
