When I close my eyes,
My thoughts belong to you,
Remembering forever,
Eyes of vivid blue.
When twilight finally comes,
Time becomes a fox,
Chasing down the sands of time,
As waves upon the rocks.
Upon a breath of sky,
Quiet as a newborns sigh,
Are wings to free the gentle dove,
Relinquishing my heart,
Your love.
For I have found within my dreams,
The colored hue of rainbow’s end,
Such beauty held within these beams,
Always beyond reach,
it seems.
And still I dream of you,
Even as the days are few,
For how could I have known?
Within my heart
this love has sown,
The sorrow in your eyes.
