And the River Cried

U wrote to me and I replied
We became friends, that’s the start
Until the day you called me Honey
My heart cried, I was so jolly! ! !

Daily emails were not enough
Text messages also helped filled the gaps
Until finally, you called to me
My heart cried, I was so happy! ! !

As days pass by, I have been so inspired
Seeing you in flesh, oh my! What a sight! ! !
And when we kissed, much to my surprise
I am so in love, my heart can’t help but cry! ! !

And suddenly, you were saying your goodbye
I wondered what happened, and why?
I asked “can we give it another try? ”
‘Twas your silence that made my eyes cry…

I cried a tear… I cried a river…
Tears of regret… Tears that made me shiver…
No words can ever console a heart that’s bitter
Now, finally, I know that it is all over….
