My Pledge Of Serenity Poem by Mae Ethan

My Pledge Of Serenity

In the turmoil of everyday

Busy thoughts along the way

I would hush as if wanting to say

Pause a little if you may.

In this world where we live

There is no peace, I believe

We're all fighting through the hubbub

Makes me wonder, is there still love?

Let us vow to make a difference

Let us vow to bring peace

Let us vow to fight injustice

So in quietness and trust we may live.

Pride, hatred, anger, jealousy and fear

Doubt and confusion, we should steer clear

Love, forgive, pray and trust

For a better and peaceful world, we must!
