And The Sky - Poem by Frankie Renae

I'd like you to hold me
like the ground holds our feet
when I'm not with you
when I'm with you
they float away
with the helium in my heart
and then I start
to feel cool like falling
cool like the colors in your eyes
something I could know better
if they didn't shine so warm
if the days woulda gone
a different way

you're like a star
you keep lookin' at me
and you are shining
ever so brightly
please don't keep staring
I'll be caring that you're not mine
you star, you sure do shine
and the sky

I feel the same colors
when I sit next to you
sometimes, like laughing
cracking jokes on
your pretty head
bettin' millions to hug you
hanging notes on
each word you ever said
these colors I do feel are bright
sunset lights you shine on me
the way my life beats faster
surely you can see in
nervous laughter

when I walk ways from you
the sun stretches on out
and the color's blue
eyes done up loud
with evermore
in wishing wells
and yet I try invisible
in wishing prayers
to feel cool like falling
the way I want you to ask me
and I'll shoot across the sky
next to you, your supergirl
explosion of heart
above the world

...knows the story in fireworks...
