And Then One Day Poem by Tina Rizk

And Then One Day

And then one day
You look in the mirror
And see yourself as you are

You see the beauty of life
The storms of fate, the fears
The pains that tried to consume you
The wickedness of others
Their hypocrisy and adversity

Then you think
To hell the past, to hell those wrinkles
I'll keep smiling and enjoying my life

Be proud of yourself
For your soul is still strong
Even when all seemed to fall apart
You learned perseverance, resilience
And kept your little kingdom standing

So if despite everything
you can still love genuinely
If you can still dream big and help others
Then nothing else really matters!
